Lakelands Park Middle School

The new 148,065 g.s.f. Lakelands Park Middle School is located in the new town of Kentlands/Lakeklands, Maryland and is designed to fit the "New Urbanist" fabric of the community.
Serving 990 students, with core support spaces for 1,200, the new facility provides program spaces for Grades 6-8. Each grade is divided into two teaching teams, two teams per floor, one grade per floor; and the three grades are stacked vertically. The middle school philosophy of team grouping fosters an atmosphere of cohesiveness by grade level that is reinforced by the building design.
