Grimm + Parker is proud to announce that Great Seneca Creek Elementary School has received a LEED® Gold rating. It was the first school in Maryland to be registered with the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and is the first school in Maryland to be nationally certified by USGBC.
The new 82,511 s.f. Great Seneca Creek Elementary School, located in Germantown, Md has an initial capacity of 640 students, with core support spaces designed for 740 students. This school will provide program spaces for Pre-K through grade 5 and centrally-located break-out rooms on each floor. The multipurpose room, stage, instructional media center, gymnasium, as well as music and art rooms will be accessible to the community for use during non-school hours.
