A 38,000 s.f. addition to the existing Van Munching Hall, the Smith School of Business is designed to continue the existing building’s exterior concepts and interior space organization.
The building houses the expanding Smith School of Business with lecture rooms, Masters + Ph.D. team rooms, Ph.D. candidate carrells, faculty offices for one department, and corporate guest and meeting/conference spaces.
Teaching spaces include:
• Two fixed-seat, 80-person lecture
rooms
• Two flexible 55-person lecture
classrooms
• Atrium assembly space for gathering
between classes.
Minor renovations to the existing building included construction of conference rooms and connections to the lobby and halls on all floors.
This building helps complete the southwest sector masterplan, completing the landscaping and western edge of the new mall.
